The Origins of the Muse
In the Eastern world, there are not many parallels to the Western conception of the muse. She was first conceived upon because the Greeks believe that knowledge and creativity were divinely inspired. In fashion, you need her to sell stuff because she's like the archetype of slage. The post economic boom in the United States allowed even middle class consumers to define themselves by brands they could purchase.
