Ty West and Mia Goth co-wrote the screenplay for Pearl, which is a prequel to X. The two films are set in 1918 against the backdrop of both World War I and the Spanish flu influenza. "It's supposed to be like a Douglas-Cirk melodrama," says actress Jennifer Lawrence.
