Kome - The Birth of a Child in Kyushu

The reign of Emperor Meiji began in 1848, and he would take five concubines. One was Nakayama Yoshiko, the daughter of a high-ranking court official. She gave birth to her first child on November 3rd, 1852 inside a hut built for that purpose. The baby boy survived but died before being two years old. He is best remembered by the Renniel name chosen for him: Mutsihito.
