In 19 33, jean harlowe and her husband, harold rawson, moved into the chateau. The newly weds were seeking a new place to live after growing tired of living in jean's belleair home with her overbearing mother. Jean redecorated with all white furnishings, as was her style. She attracted fellow film actors and artists who would wind up populating the chateaux for many years to come.
