There's two kind of approaches to beowulf. One is, now, it's primarily a pagan poem with some sort of christian or old testament stuff sprinkled on it. And then there's the other take on it. This is primarily a christian style poem that's engaging with pagan stuff. So you have these sor of decotomis set up,. christian, pagan, literate, oral, late, early what else continental europe and the germanic north am the i tend to think that the christian elements are inextricable.
