The Importance of Incentives in Private Credit
Russia was a small country but in weights in EEM. But China is a third and more. For sure, and there's a related point there, I think, which is one of incentives. If you're inside Russia and you can buy these assets for close to zero, you've made out like a bandit. And so from a money managers perspective, that's almost irresistible.
