How to Prepare for a Marathon
I ran in Osaka a long time ago, so in 2007 that's what World Championships were. I had three rounds, heat, 75 and final. And the heats were at midday and then the final was like 9.10pm at night. So actually you had to be prepared for anything. But that was very difficult, not only the jet lag, but then racing, you know, essentially 10 hours apart. It's quite good if you're doing a dress rehearsal of like the distance, like your longest run. If you do have to wake up at 6am, at least know what it feels like. Do it at 7pm at night, if that's when your race is going
