The Snake and the Snake

The story doesn't say which Pharaoh it is, right? We don't get his name and theologians debate about his identity. Exodus describes what individuals, people, cities, societies and systems devolve into under the snake's voice. Have we not seen this story play out through human history? A people gathered around the fear of there not being enough for everyone to flourish,. so they use their power and resources to subjugate and slave and murder.
