Introduction
Australia is a nation of pat owners. Between us we own about 4.8 million dogs and about 3.9 million cats. We spend an average of $1,500 a year to care for those pets. It's not just putting food into their mouths that we have to worry about but what comes out of the other end as well. Today our panel will attempt to consider these global and personal issues under the umbrella of one welfare.
