The Importance of Free Will

I don't think I knew that you were an incompatibleist. John Fisher has argued that given free will's importance and centrality to our lives, like our conception of ourselves as morally responsible agents, shouldn't depend on whether determinism is true. If compatibleism gave us a quote, Denny, a freedom worth wanting, then I'd be on board for accepting a compatibleist position. But unfortunately, I just don't see the freedom that's left in a compatibleist story to ground any of the practices that we currently have.
