The Search for Ghostly Subatomic Particles
There are signature of powerful forces at work but not of whirling black holes rather of whizzing cosmic rays accelerated by galactic magnetic fields. There is a fog of these neutrinos created in our own atmosphere when cosmic rays smack into gas molecules like nitrogen. It's also taken the weirdest of telescopes called ice cube to see any of these ghostly particles at all as physicist Francis Holzen explains so.
