How Did You Become Aware of Pitch Accent in Japanese?

Yhou grew up in an iranian household, but didn't learn japanese until he was six years old. He learned to read congian by reading books and listening to other people talk about the language. Yhou is now able to pick up pitch accent on some words despite not being aware of it at first. Has a question for his audience? Do you know any other languages beyond english?
