Using the Hammer to Defamiliarize the Opera

i learned this concept probably almost 20 years ago, and i've thought about it a lot since then. I do agree with sklowsky, that much effective art allows you to look at the mundane and see it for the first time. In future episodes i am going to refer to this concept of d familiarization as a kind of critical part of learning, both at the individual level and at the level of society.
