Reduplication is a thing that happens linguistically and there's five other examples of reduplication which we'll get to in a minute. If I say pong ping or splash splish, it feels weird, right? Yeah. That is also just because we're so trained on this. There's theories about why when we do tend to pair words that sound similar in that way, the short vowel is first followed by the long vowel.
