How to Homestead a Slash Farm

I think a great idea would be to have a program that connects landowners with people who want to homestead slash farm. I keep hearing that farmers are aging and their kids aren't always interested in farming. A whole lot of people in a permaculture spaced it have these pie in the sky, great ideas. But when it comes time to work, they want to work about 45 minutes a day and call it quit.
