Sally Kohn: I think a lot of people that i talk to think of active learning is ing by doing, which leads them to think that just having an unstructured discussion is going to be active learning. She says it's better for students to use the information they're given in a way that'll help them achieve their learning. "It wasn't any particular teach or anything like that... It was really a kind of, i suspect, more a sign of the times than any particularly great insights that i personally have"
