The Death of Adolf Hitler
Adolf Hitler is held in Landsberg prison, an hour west of Munich. It has a special wing for political prisoners who are kept separately from the general inmates. There are certain perks, no uniforms, no work programs, no exercise restrictions and decent food. His new quarters are reasonably comfortable - better than some of the digs he's inhabited in Munich. He still thinks again that all is lost. He doesn't want to eat. Nothing seems to be going his way. So it really takes a while before he even kind of manages to move on.
