I've come to the somewhat depressing belief that 90 percent of the nonfiction books that sell really well can be summarized in six or seven words. I think you know Thomas Piketty's book capitalist is a very good book contributed to centering a very important debate but it's not an unlikely commercial success. It's difficult to talk in a sophisticated nuanced way about the information environment because of the defining characteristic of that information environment which is profusion, he says.
