How to Develop a Hearing Ear
The practices of formation keep us locked into Lord, what do you have for me? What do you want me to know? And then it helps us answer the question, Lord, what are the things I'm doing that you never ask me to do? In order for us to operate in the filter, which is formation, we've got to have a hearing ear. The voice of God produces in his love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, self control. That's my answer to everyone. Practice listening journal, listening practices, testing out ideas that you associate with God and just and beings.
