The Problem With the Matrix

Baudrillard argues that the line between real and virtual has collapsed for postmodern subjects. The Matrix actually shows something more like Plato's cave where people are stuck in a cave thinking that projections of shadows on the walls are real when actually there's an entire real world outside. And then the second thing is that he's also really concerned with the way the Matrix itself is about a monopolistic superpower and resisting that monopolistic superpower.
