The World of Forms and the Creation Story of a Master Craftsman
Philosophy allows the fundamental ideas of plato, like his world of forms and his creation story, slightly tweaked. They're compatible with judaism. Plato thought this master craftsman of his was only that, a craftsman, his role was only to put the universe together. Philo said that the tora strongly reinforces the idea of turning away from bodily pleasures and towards virtue. And he had one of the stories of the bible to go along with it.
