Charles couldn't stand the sight of blood, so he had to leave medical school. His father decided to get him a job as a church a vicar. He did his four years at cambridge, and as i said, he barely passed. The only subject that he did even remotely well in was botany. And when he came back, there was letter from his professor offering him an unpaid naturalist on a boat that was sailing around the world. Now charles had never thought of doing something like that. It wasn't a career he was thinking of. In fact, he his father had found him very important position within the church. So he went against the wishes of his father
