Spinoza's Love of God

The tractatus is, in one sense, a work of bible criticism. Others had previously questioned the text of the bible, but spinoza is much further and says, this is just a book. It's not the unquestioned word of god. The trend ofabspinoss generally is very anti religion in the traditional sense. So when spinoza talks about a the intellectual love of god, he's really talking about a kind of joyful knowledge that puts me in touch with the rational order of all things. That's not really religious, so in my view at any rate.
