The Uprising in Poland

Poland was partitioned between prussia, austria and russia in 1794. The army's leadership crisis was over with almost all royalist officers dead or fled. Many veterans of the rebellion found safe haven in france when kashusko was ultimately defeated. This was the beginning of a sometimes complicated friendship that would be a feature of europe in culture and gio politics well into the twentieth century.
