The culture within theoretical physics tends to be very aggressive. There is a relationship between attitudes that one encounters in a standard physic seminar and the fact that a statistically high proportion of physicists who are involved are men. I think we should just try to give a better picture of the physicist really is doing cool things, sure. But i mean, there are two issues. It seems to me, there's the societal appreciation and awareness of physics,. And then there's the gender issue.
