Bloomberg News tested the cotton used in Sheyens goods and found it was made with cotton from China's Xinjiang Province. Textile dyeing is one of the most polluting industry in the world responsible for 20% of global wastewater according to the World Bank. Last year, US importers brought in $8.4 billion worth of cotton products from China.
