Data Science - What's Next?

There are not too many market crashes, so there's a small sampling of them to try and generate new ones from. But why would we trust an to give us representative data? Maybe it could come up a sort of some quasi outlier that doesn't really describe the true market. You will still have to rely on some statistics that are mare qualitative.
