Trans Journalists - How Do You Balance That With Being a Journalist?
Sally Kohn: Mainstream media has this mandate for objectivity and what they mean by that is often avoiding any speech that could be seen as political. How do you balance that both when you're writing but also just emotionally having to put yourself in that position? Kohn: Part of it is I sort of have a refutation coming in on these stories. And part of that is because the way that I view myself as a journalist is sort of as a community journalist on behalf of the trans community.
