Are You Having a Good Time When Someone Invites You Out?

I think there are definitely times where it's like I don't have to do this but I'll probably have an okay time if I go. Usually when someone turns down a hangout I feel like the reasons given are oh I already have this other hangout or like I have some sort of obligation. But you're right like promises with yourself of like okay today's going to be a relaxing day or like today I have to stay home and do this they don't come off as serious sometimes, so people just use them as not excuses but as like reasons to not be able to join a hangout as often.
