The Proton Is a Quantum Object
Proton was discovered in 1967 by Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, or SLAC. Researchers have carried out hundreds of scattering experiments to date. They infer various aspects of the object's interior by adjusting how forcefully they bombarded it. By using higher energy electrons, physicists can ferret out finer features of target proton.
