How to Know Your Work Is Good
I don't think we could ever attain the perfect painting partly because we continually change and improve. So how do I know it's good before I share it with other people? How do I know It's objectively good? And I think that's impossible. There isn't a single definition of a perfect painting but there isn't a checklist where you've done everything right and therefore it will be good. A huge part of it is understanding that when you're making the kind of work you want to make to an extent we can't be reliant on how it affects others while understanding that for many of us when we see the impact it has on other people or we see the response that our work gets
