Prejudice is when we're biased against a group of people, which is not based on reason or experience. Some one may not hire a man to teach children because they have an implicit bias that men aren't very nurturing. Women often get shut out of positions due to implicit biases that men are more aggressive and so will do a better job. The third type of discrimination that economists have focused on i statistical discrimination. This is when statistics about average performances for a group will influence how some judges an individual.
