Is Hegel a Marxist or a Hegelist?
Hegel is much closer to Marx in his notion of the psychoanalytic subject. The feeling of absolute dread allows this negation, like you're no longer just negating the external, you're also negating the internal. And that's why labor alone doesn't get the job done in emancipating the subject. So I think that's the connection between the two,. Like the absolute dread leads to this internal negation and labor is the way in which you're negating externally.
