The Relationship Between Rapid Occurrence Functional Tick-Like Behaviors and Tourette's Disease

Female patients have definitely been included in that research. I don't think we've been ignoring or marginalizing the female population with Tourette's. The ticks tend to persist more in girls than in boys. There's higher resolution of symptoms in late teens in boys compared to girls, but these characteristics are very similar between boys and girls. In all of our centres, there was an increase in the proportion of functional tick-like behaviours seen during this period.
