I accompanied the President on Air Force One to all his trips to my region, including the 2008 Beijing Olympics. I also organized the state visits to Washington of President Hujintao of China and Prime Minister Kuzumi of Japan. Two of those three visits went very well. The third was a bit of a disaster for me because a woman in the journalistic stands that are out in front of the two presidents began screaming at the President of China. A journalist said he had never seen anybody so uncomfortable in his life.
