Start journalling. Don't worry if in the early days you only write out about the weather forecast or some news item. Once you start doing this consistently, you will soon start writing out your own thoughts. This has saved me so many times from missing something important. Our 200 thousand year old brain evolved to recognize patterns. It's what kept us alive on the open savannas thousands of years ago. We recognized the pattern of some predatory creature stalking us for lunch,. The crack of a twig or the rustle of long dried grass. If we don't have a trusted method of dealing with information, our brains will try and do the job for you.
