And old man Lombardi did the same thing here in his grocery store he would sell you a piece of pizza and he would just cut off a piece depending on if you have a penny two cents. I think people get confused because places like Lombardi's and John's and Tetonos are aggressive about not selling you a slice of pizza. People incorrectly walk backwards and say oh they never did but no they just don't know because it doesn't make sense for the business. Exactly. This is an 1884 quote from Matilda Sarayo who is a Neapolitan journalist living in Florence at the time. She says it
