The Risks of Back Contamination on Mars
Life forms on Earth can exploit almost any environment as long as there's water life finds a way. The risks of that are pretty low that Martian bacteria evolved to live on Mars. It would be tricky for Martian life to really gain a foothold on Earth. We didn't evolve, co-evolve with Martian bacteria or viruses. Even if it did, it never evolved to affect us.
