The year is 1866. Six lawmakers were ousted during a special session after they tried to prevent Tennessee from ratifying the 14th amendment to the US Constitution for former slaves. If you are essentially taking bribes in exchange, which we all know they do in exchange for affecting policy, then you are absolutely unfit to be in anyone's state house anywhere. Also, a crime was committed here. Not what these three representatives did by exercising their first amendment right to protest.
