The Importance of Source Control in Infectious Disease
Catherine: So one thing that we like to talk about a lot in infectious disease is that our antibiotics alone are not going to do anything unless you have source control. And I think along those lines, so, you know, the empiric choices are presuming these patients have not ever had, like a urine culture before or something. But if you have recurrent urinary tract infections, you have to know what the cause is just like recurring urinary tract infections. Is this is this person having recurrence because there's stones or they have some reflux in their rethro? Right.
