I agree with you on adaptation, but I would point out that adaptation is also extremely expensive. It requires a significant portion of global GDP to build the infrastructure that you agree is needed. But I would disagree, I would say if we wait until 2100 to reach carbon neutrality, I think that's too late. That would push us past the tipping points of warming,. which leads to pretty bad consequences, especially for the global poor.
