Low far isn't looking at the redshifted light that's from that's been ionizing the stars. It's 21 centimeters long. And if you know how much dust is within these galaxies, this tells you a lot about star formation history and stuff like that. How did the universe go from having no stars to forming the first stars to re ionizing the universe to forming these small galaxies? These are the observations we need to make if we want to tell that story.
