The golden toad hasn't been cited in 33 years now but i don't think it's totally a crazy idea. A different toad species called whole jig's toad was last observed in 1986 so that's three years prior to the last golden toad sighting this toad was declared extinct in 2000 at 2008 again after years and years of extensive searches for the toad it was considered extinct when as defined by the eye ucn there was no reasonable doubt that the last specimen had died like this thing was gone there was no hope for it again The kittred fungus was blamed for it bd was blamed and especially given how close the species was to the where the golden toad
