The Politicization of the Pandemic
I was astonished by what he went on to say, which is that we couldn't leave our homes. They seemed to have jettisoned 15 years of careful planning for just this kind of event. I think it will be a long time before anybody seriously proposes that we should go through this ordeal again. The politicization has molded the reaction to those who point out as they increasingly do, that lockdown has had catastrophic consequences and very few benefits. It became a right wing equals no lockdown and a left-wing equals lockdown issue. That's the main reason why the young supported it, and apparently that still do.
