The Science of Coaching Psychology
Coaching is focused on drawing out people's autonomy and then building competence. Positive psychology has a number of different domains, but the one would be positive emotions. If you feel like you've got strength, that also increases your positive resources. Then there's this idea of positive psychological capital, which at this point comprises hope, optimism, resilience and confidence. So those are all the resources that help people grow and change the competence. And it turns out that you can start with your emotional life. We're not even trying to integrate therapy into our daily lives - we're just getting it right in the moment.
