The federal government regulates who can haul free. "I actually make about the same amount of money in my pocket as I did with 10 trucks," he says. He got his own authority in 1998 and then had a driver that had an accident, cost him 50 grand out of his pocket. His wife said, you either have to get more trucks or go back down to one truck.
