The Potential of Touch in Therapy
i think this data could really start to generate a discussion about the potential rule of touch in therapy. From the people that said that they had some form of touching their therapies, the majority of them experienced it as communicating positive therapeutic messages and enhancing their bond with their therapist. So i don't think any data of this kind should make anybody jump into providing touching therapy unless they are already training in an institution of body psyco therapy. It's not in any of the main stream evidence base psychotherapists that the majority of the public uses. And there are, of course, some sorts of interventions which are deliberately using touch.
