COVID-19 Preprints

The COVID-19 preprints were created specifically because they wanted to get studies out quickly so that clinicians can could make decisions based upon it. The first preprint server was the physicist archive, you know, the RX ID, but when was that created? Well, I know that the paper that I referenced that I was on with a bunch of physicists in the in the neuroscience lab earlier in the show, that was in the archive and that was published in like 2006. Yeah, yeah, so the preprint system works.
