The Rebellion of Boudakar
The main account to go with is Tacitus in Book 14 of the Annals. It's a very nuanced, it's multi-layered and there are different layers of evidence within it. But I don't think we have any reason to doubt that Boudakar was the focus of this and that she did lead the rebellion. We left Kamala-Doonam utterly defenseless. The veterans fell back on the temple complex which really provided the only defensible unit of the city. There may have been 10,000 Romans seeking shelter in this place. And it kind of feels like it's a case of Roman violence, baguettes, British violence in a sense.
