How to Read Science Fiction
Last year Mary decided she was going to teach herself how to write short stories. She started the podcast by saying that, it depends on what kind of story you're attracted to. If you don't want to cut yourself off from a single form, then you need not pigeonhole yourself into one or two genres. The other thing is the Hugo and Nebula award nominees. Every year I've gotten to the habit of reading the Hugo nominees. This will help you improve more than anything we can tell you.
